Helse Vest's research funds are to contribute to ensuring research activity among health providers in the region. Research funds are to be an incentive as well as an economic contribution in producing more quality research, and in cultivating research expertise by awarding fellowships. The Regional Liaison Committee (Det regionale samarbeidsorganet) between Western Norway Regional Health Authority and the region´s universities and university colleges, which decide the distribution of research funds, encourages regional collaboration on applications in order to build a robust, regional research environment.

Granting of the research funds will be decided at the Liaison Committee's (Samarbeidsorganet) meeting on the 25th of November 2022. The results will be announced on the Liaison Committee's website as soon as possible after the meeting.
