Information about the call for applications for non-university hospitals

The application form

Helse Sør-Øst RHF has an electronic (web-based) application portal. Do not send paper copies of the application or any attachments to the research administration at Helse Sør-Øst RHF.

To create an application, the applicant should select the applicant institution and relevant category, and enter the title, name and e-mail address in the form below. Afterwards, you should press “create application” at the bottom right of this page.

After a few minutes, an e-mail will be sent to the selected e-mail address. This e-mail contains a link to the application form. If several people are contributing to the application, the link can be distributed between the collaborating partners for access to the form.

The following research category are available for funding in this call:

  • Funding for non-university hospitals - strengthening of competence and infrastructure. 
     

For work on the application, Internet Explorer (v. 9 or newer) and Google Chrome is recommended.

The Central Norway Regional Health Authority (RHA) has allocated funds for strengthening research and academic development within medicine and health sciences in the region. The funding is allocated via The Liaison Committee for Education, Research and Innovation in Central Norway (Samarbeidsorganet).  Subject to the financial framework for the Central Norway RHA, a call for proposals for research funding for 2018 has been approved. This year’s announcement includes the following categories:

  • Doctoral (PhD) research fellowships
  • Postdoctoral research fellowships
  • Researcher fellowships
  • Positions focused on innovation – (PhD, postdoctoral or researcher fellowships)
  • Mobility grants (period of 3-12 months)
  • Project funds (NOK 500 000 to NOK 1 000 000 per year for a period of 1-3 years)

Who can apply?

Applications for research funding may be submitted by persons employed in the following institutions:

  • Health trusts (HF) in Central Norway
  • Universities and university colleges in the region, in collaboration with health trusts in Central Norway
  • Private-sector parties in the region that have an agreement with the Central Norway RHA, in collaboration with a health trust

It is the aim of the Central Norway RHA to strengthen research in the whole region. All health trusts in Central Norway are therefore encouraged to submit applications, and to collaborate with other health trusts in the region on joint project proposals.We encourage collaboration with different sectors, including universities/university colleges, municipalities and private establishments/commercial businesses. The projects must be relevant to the health sector, and it is required that all projects are conducted with participation from a health trust. 

We recommend that you start working on the application well in advance of the application deadline. You have access to your application via the link you receive when creating the application; the link can also be shared with collaborating partners. The application form is active up until submission, and all information will be saved automacially as the form is filled out.

The application deadline is 13 June at 16:00. Note that the application system will close automatically at the deadline. There will be no opportunity to submit applications after the deadline.

Please select the appropriate applicant institution from the list of clinics within the health trusts in the region. Eligible institutions have already been added to the list. The correct applicant institution is the clinic where the applicant is employed or will be collaborating with.

An e-mail will automitivcally be sent to the head of clinic requesting confirmation of management commitment as the application is submitted. It is an absolute requirement that all applications for research funding from The Central Regional Health Authority Norge do have management commitment and participation fram a health trust in the region.  

The host institution (i.e., the institution that will manage the project financially) must be indicated under "classification" in the application form. If the host institution is not the same as the applicant institution (f.ex.a department at NTNU), a commitment form signed by your department head must be attached with the application. Link to management commitment forms are found in the documents related to the two calls (Samarbeidsorganet and Felles Forskningsutvalg).

Select the correct application type. Make sure you have selected the correct call and correct application type before creating the application form.

Felles forskningsutvalg for St. Olavs Hospital og Fakultet for medisin og helsevitenskap (FFU) - forskningsmidler for 2019Deadline: 13/06/2018 16:00:00

Felles forskningsutvalg (FFU), the joint research committee between St. Olavs Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, NTNU allocates research funding from the Central Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Midt-Norge RHF).

The following call for proposals is announced:

  • Two-year research projects of up to NOK 1 million
  • Clinical academic research groups (up to 1,5 mill. NOK/year for 2 year, extension may be granted)

Who can apply?

Applications for research funding and positions can only be submitted by people employed at:

  • St. Olavs Hospital - in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences*, NTNU
  • Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences*, NTNU - in collaboration with St. Olavs Hospital

 Applies to employees at the Medicine and Health Sciences, NTNU in Trondheim. Employees at NTNU Ålesund and NTNU Gjøvik are not eligible for applying.
