Helse Vests forskningsmidler 2025Deadline: 15/09/2024 23:59:00
Helse Vest's research funds are to contribute to ensuring research activity among health providers in the region. Research funds are to be an incentive as well as an economic contribution in producing more quality research, and in cultivating research expertise by awarding fellowships. The Regional Liaison Committee (Det regionale samarbeidsorganet) between Western Norway Regional Health Authority and the region´s universities and university colleges, which decide the distribution of research funds, encourages regional collaboration on applications in order to build a robust, regional research environment.
Applications will be evaluated for scientific quality and utility. Read more about this in Aims and Criteria.
To prevent the application from being set aside, we encourage everyone to carefully read the the call for application and guidelines, as well as the common reasons for not being shortlisted.
Granting of the research funds will be decided at the Liaison Committee's (Samarbeidsorganet) meeting on the 28th of November 2024. The results will be announced on the Liaison Committee's website as soon as possible after the meeting.
In this call, it is possible to apply for the following application categories:
- PhD fellowship
- Postdoctoral fellowship
- Extension of postdoctoral fellowship in combination with a stay abroad
- Clinical research fellowship
- Scholarship for clinical studies (20 per cent) - NEW
- Clinical career fellowship
- Open project support
- Fellowship abroad
Select the health provider (and department, if relevant) or private, non-profit institution that will support the project. An email to applicant institution requesting support will be sent when the application is submitted.
Please note: The absolute final deadline for supporting the application is 3 weeks after the application deadline.
Select the correct application category and application form. Read more about the application categories on Helse Vest´s web pages.
Enter the title of the project. Note: If necessary, the project title can be changed from the application form.
A link to the application form will be sent to the entered address. Please make sure you enter an address that is in use and checked regularly. Check that your email address is written correctly.

Som del av dei strategiske planane for forskinga ved sjukehuset er det etablert eit strategisk forskingsprogram å støtte opp om ambisjonane og forskinga. Programmet skal blant annet ivareta spissfunksjonar, kompetansemiljø og toppforskningsmiljø, samt forsking på områder av særskilt betydning for helsetjenestetilbudet. Det lyses nå ut posisjoneringsstipend som er eit av tre verkemiddel.
For å byggje opp om dei små forskingsmiljøa ved sjukehuset er det etablert ei ordning med posisjoneringsstipend retta inn mot små forskarmiljø. Med små forskingsmiljø meinast det det fagområde ved Haukeland universitetssjukehus som klassifiserast som små etter Health Reserach Classification System (HRCS) sin klassifisering. Søkjar må i søknaden vise til at søkjaren kjem frå eit lite fagmiljø.
Posisjoneringsstipend til klinikarar tek stikte på å bygge opp dei mindre forskingsmiljøa ved sjukehuset og styrke forskarrekrutteringa. Posisjoneringsstipenda vil gje moglegheit for «legestipend» i 50 % i eit år. Det stillast krav om at dei som får stipend må sende ein søknad til Helse Vest RHF om stipend innan utløpet av perioden.
Søknadene blir vurdert ut frå vitenskapleg kvalitet og nytte. Søknader med formelle feil vil ikkje bli behandla.
I denne utlysinga er deil mogleg å søke på følgande:
