Application form
When creating an electronic application form, select the host institution, application category, and provide the title, name, and your email address. An email will be sent to the specified address with a link to the application form.
If several people are collaborating on preparing an application, the person who creates the application can forward the email to collaborators to grant them access.
Application categories for 2027
For 2027, it will be possible to apply for research funding within the following categories:
- PhD fellowship
- Research fellowship (early career)
- Open project support
Be careful to select the correct application form. It is not possible to change the form type once the application has been created.
Allocation of funding
The allocation of research funding for 2027 will be decided at the board meeting of Helse Sør-Øst RHF on 17 December 2026. The results will be published on our website immediately after the meeting. All applicants will also receive an email with the outcome of their application.
Preferably use your own email address at the applicant institution when creating the application.
An email to the applicant institution requesting anchoring will be sent when the application is submitted.
The form regarding application category CANNOT be changed after the application has been created. In that case, a new form must be created.

To create an electronic application form, select the applicant institution and application category, and enter the title, your name, and your email address in the form below. The call will be running without a fixed deadline. Funding to innovation projects is thus awarded.

To create an application, the applicant should select the applicant institution and relevant category, and enter the title, name and e-mail address in the form below. Afterwards, you should press “create application” at the bottom right of this page.

Helse Midt-Norge - Utlysning av mobiliseringsmidler rettet mot Horisont Europa 2026 (løpende behandling)Deadline: 01/11/2026 23:59:00
The Central Norway Regional Health Authority is announcing funding for mobilization funds towards Horizon Europe.
Funds are announced with a rolling application deadline within the following categories:
1. Support for application design - application limit is up to NOK 250,000 per application.
2. Support for implementation of awarded EU project - application limit is up to 10% of the award amount, limited to 1 MNOK.

The Central Norway Regional Health Authority (RHA) has allocated funds for strengthening research and academic development within medicine and health sciences in the region. The funding is allocated via The Liaison Committee for Education, Research and Innovation in Central Norway (Samarbeidsorganet).
Subject to the financial framework for the Central Norway RHA, a call for proposals for research funding for 2027 has been approved, and includes the following categories:
- PhD research fellowship
- Postdoctoral research fellowship
- Researcher fellowship
- Project funds
The fellowships have a duration of up to 3 years and it is possible to apply for additional funds to cover running costs and mobility grants for all fellowship positions.
Applications may be submitted by employees in the following institutions:
- Health trusts (HT) in Central Norway
- Universities and university colleges in the region, in collaboration with HT in Central Norway
- Regional Private-sector parties that have an agreement with the Central Norway RHA, in collaboration with a HT in Central Norway.
All health trusts in Central Norway are encouraged to submit applications and to enter into collaboration with other health trusts, universities and university colleges, municipalities and/or businesses in the region on joint project applications. The project applied for must be relevant to the health service and it is a prerequisite that the research is carried out with participation from health trusts in the region.
The application deadline is 1 September 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

Helse Nord RHF lyser ut forskningsmidler til prosjektetableringsstøtte for å utforme søknad om ekstern finansiering av klinisk forskning. Se Helse Nords internettside for generelle vilkår og denne ekstrautlysningen.
