The Central Norway Regional Health Authority (RHA) has allocated funds for strengthening research and academic development within medicine and health sciences in the region. The funding is allocated via The Liaison Committee for Education, Research and Innovation in Central Norway (Samarbeidsorganet).
Subject to the financial framework for the Central Norway RHA, a call for proposals for research funding for 2025 has been approved, and includes the following categories:
1. Research fellowships*

The national programme for clinical therapy research, KLINBEFORSK, will contribute towards giving Norwegian patients improved opportunities to participate in clinical trials. Clinical therapy research focuses on inclusion of patients with the aim to improve current medical practices, including use of pharmaceuticals and medical technology, and / or development and evaluation of new ones.
User involvement is mandatory for all applications to KLINBEFORSK. Recruitment of patients from all health regions should be facilitated, and the projects must include clinical research collaborations between hospitals or private, non-profit hospitals in all four health regions.The principal investigator (applicant) and main collaborating partners (at least one per health region) should hold at least a 20% position in an applicant institution at the time of application and throughout the project period.
